Location:1 Post -Dodoma & 1 Post – Mtwara

POSITION OBJECTIVE

We are looking for Branch Managers to take charge of the activities of our branches. The ideal applicant will be in charge of generating revenue growth, profitability, and customer happiness while ensuring operational efficiency.

Key duties:

  • Create a branch budget and strategy for guaranteeing profitability.
  • Create and explore sales opportunities to meet or exceed consumer expectations.
  • Integrate branch goals to retail officers in order to achieve annual objectives and sales initiatives.
  • Hold periodic conferences with retail officers, branch workers, and training sessions to guarantee branch cooperation.
  • Monitor and evaluate section objectives so that you may effectively measure progress and performance.
  • Improve the quality of your business interactions with retail clients.
  • Visit consumers on a frequent basis to preserve loyalty and grow the customer base.
  • Provide financial products and services tailored to the specific needs of SMEs, such as company loans, operational money, and cash management solutions.
  • Provide experienced advice and support to SME clients on financial matters, assisting them to accomplish their growth objectives.
  • Identify and approach government departments at the local, regional, and national levels for banking business.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with government officials by knowing their financial needs and providing appropriate banking solutions.
  • To communicate with the general public and government authorities in the Branch’s operating region in order to maintain strong public relations and create a positive image of the bank.
  • Conform with the guidelines and requirements, local laws and regulations, the bank’s controls and procedures.
  • Identify and manage operational and environmental risks associated with branch service delivery, with a focus on minimizing impact and exposure. Maintain cleanliness throughout the entire branch premises and follow the clean-desk policy.
  • Ensure that all branch workers, as specified in the working manuals/standard operating procedures (SOPs), follow all operational protocols.
  • To guarantee that the branch has enough stationery and cash to run its daily activities. You will also ensure that money and all bank documents/assets are properly secured.
  • To do periodic snap checks for money in tills/strong rooms, restricted stationery, all suspense accounts, and stamp accounts.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary stationery and equipment.
  • To oversee the branch’s overall operations.
  • To examine the branch staff’s workforce and development needs and provide advise to the head office.
  • In conjunction with the Manager of Branches, plan and handle support staff administration concerns (e.g., local leave, training, and Department staff rotation).
  • Conduct periodic staff evaluations.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned to you by the manager of the Regions or higher authorities.
  • Ensure that the following anti-money laundering criteria are met:
  • Take all necessary steps to authenticate and identify clients, including undertaking Quality Assurance on newly formed accounts and the general KYC issues/CDD.
  • Maintain adequate records of identity, account opening, and transactions, and ensure the timely and proper fulfillment of client requirements. C) Make or help.

Business expansion as indicated by achieving budget amounts for revenue
Minimizing operational costs improves total branch profitability.
Improved and more powerful branch control.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

A bachelor’s degree is beneficial in banking, economics, commerce, business administration, finance, or a related field from a recognized institution. Must have at least eight (8) years of experience in the banking industry or financial institutions, with at least three years managing bank branch operations, SME, and credit.
