Position: HEMM Engineer

• Required for making sure heavy earth moving equipment in mining operates safely by performing routine maintenance and arranging necessary repairs.
• Supervise, organize, and plan repairs on all plant heavy equipment to ensure that breakdowns are identified and eliminated.
• Perform routine checks on lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance and assess it for flaws and malfunctions.
• Inspect repaired elevating equipment for good operation and to check that the work fits the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and do other normal maintenance tasks on the rising equipment.
• Perform any other duties as given by the Section Head, HEMM Maintenance, from time to time.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent in automotive engineering or a similar field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of mine equipment maintenance related experience.
• Understanding of the maintenance and repair of plant large earth moving equipment.
• Effective communication in both writing and oral skills.
• Good networking and teamwork capabilities.
• Good data collection and analytical skills.
• Basic problem identification and solving abilities.
• Creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
• Proficient at using office productivity tools.
